Win The Mic is 96.5 Radio Bahrain's nationwide talent search, launched in partnership with Youth City 2030, to discover Bahrain's next generation of English-speaking radio presenters.

Whether you've always dreamed of broadcasting or you're simply ready to challenge yourself, this is your opportunity to learn from industry professionals and take your first step into the world of radio.

Win The Mic is a Radio Bahrain Company (RBC, a portfolio company of Mumtalakat) initiative, operating and functioning under 96.5 Radio Bahrain, the kingdom's national English-language radio station. The official partner of this campaign is Youth City 2030, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs (MYA), supported by its strategic partner, The Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

Who Can Apply

Applicants must:

• Be Bahraini nationals.
• Be between 22 and 30 years old.
• Hold a bachelor's degree (in any field, it doesn't have to be media-related).
• Be fluent in English.
• Be passionate about media, communication, and broadcasting.

What Happens Next

Shortlisted applicants will progress through a series of live audition and assessment stages.

The finalists will take part in an intensive Radio Bahrain bootcamp covering radio presenting, voice, interviewing, storytelling, content creation, visual radio techniques, broadcast production, on-ground presence, news reporting & reading, radio journalism, and more.

One participant will ultimately be awarded a 12-month internship journey with Radio Bahrain, with opportunities for future on-air experience; the beginning of a life-changing career.

• Applications must be submitted through the eShabab app before the closing date.
• Only high-resolution applications  will be considered.
• Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee progression to the next stage.
• Shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly by Radio Bahrain (consider any other form of contact outside of Radio Bahrain as illegitimate).
• Radio Bahrain reserves the right to amend the campaign timeline or selection process where necessary.
• By applying, participants agree that submitted material may be reviewed and used for campaign-related promotional purposes.
• The judges' decision is final.
