Billie Eilish is gearing up to release more hits, as she teased a music video for the fan-favorite track “Chihiro” from her latest album. The video, which shows Eilish running down a hallway, is set to drop at 9 a.m. PT on June 6.
“Chihiro,” named after the main character from the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away, features a pulsing melody with Eilish’s signature soft vocals: “Today, maybe tomorrow/ Open the door for me/ I know you said before/ You can’t cope with it no more.” Eilish, a longtime admirer of Hayao Miyazaki’s work, has even joked about having a crush on the dragon from Spirited Away.
Produced by her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas, the 10-track album is Eilish’s third studio release, following 2019’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and 2021’s Happier Than Ever, both of which topped the Billboard 200 for three weeks. No singles were released beforehand, as the 22-year-old singer wanted to deliver the album all at once to her fans.
