ONLINE (IN-APP) COMPETITION

• Download the Radio Bahrain app
• Registering on the app to participate is mandatory
• Entries can only be submitted by typing your guess in the available field on this page
• Each participant may only take part once, any duplicate participations using different details will be flagged, identified, and disqualified immediately
• Registrations must be clearly populated for Radio Bahrain to ensure direct access to the potential winner once the competition is over.
• This competition will end right after the group stages are over (Sunday the 28^th of June)
• The winner will be digitally randomly selected, with the presence of an MOIC official representative
• The Prize (1): signed memorabilia by Lionel Messi; exclusively on our app
• The winner’s name and photos/videos receiving the prize will be used on all Radio Bahrain active social media platforms.

ELIGIBILITY (BOTH COMPETITIONS – ON-AIR AND ONLINE)

• Participants must be 18 years or older
• Participants must be residents of Bahrain or be able to reliably accept a WhatsApp or phone call from Radio Bahrain
• Entry may also be open to listeners in Saudi Arabia, provided they can participate via WhatsApp call or equivalent digital connection method (including VPN access where required). 

ON-AIR COMPETITION

This promotion will be broadcast on 96.5 Radio Bahrain during the 2026 FIFA World Cup period between the hours of 6am and 10am on the Breakfast Show hosted by Martin & Hayley and may also be referenced across supporting station output and digital platforms.

This is a long-running, daily on-air promotion running throughout the duration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, from Sunday 14th June 2026 through Thursday 17th July 2026.

The promotion is designed as a continuous, evolving on-air game built around football knowledge, speed, and listener participation.

MECHANIC: THE RADIO BAHRAIN PENALTY SHOOTOUT

The FIFA World Cup 2026 on Radio Bahrain where listeners win like champions.

Every weekday during the World Cup, two callers will go head-to-head in the Radio Bahrain Penalty Shootout live on air.

HOW IT WORKS:

• Each day, the current “Champion” returns to defend their title
• A new “Challenger” is selected to take them on
• Both players take part in a series of quick-fire football and World Cup themed questions
• Every correct answer = a scored penalty
• The player with the highest score wins the shootout and becomes the new Champion. 

THE LEADERBOARD NEVER STOPS MOVING

• If you win, you remain Champion and return the next day
• At any point, a new listener can challenge and remove you from the top spot
• A player may dominate for several days
• Or a brand-new contestant could enter late in the campaign, outperform the leader, and win the prize in a single appearance.

The longer a contestant remains Champion, the greater the pressure becomes.

THE PRIZE (1)

• Signed memorabilia by Cristiano Ronaldo; exclusively on-air. 

ON-AIR EXECUTION

• On Day 1 of the promotion, two players will be brought on air live
• The highest scoring player will be crowned the first Champion and return the following day
• From Day 2 onwards, one Challenger will be selected daily to compete against the reigning Champion
• The competition will be played live each weekday at approximately 7:10am with Martin & Hayley
• The segment will air live at approximately 7:15am, featuring both contestants
• This cycle will repeat daily until the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

ENTRY MECHANISM

Listeners will be invited to enter when presenters open the competition on-air.

• Entries must be submitted via WhatsApp to +973 17 780 780
• Entries must include the listener’s full name to validate participation 
• Only valid, successfully delivered messages (two tick confirmation where applicable) will be accepted as entries 

Radio Bahrain reserves the right to select contestants from all valid entries received and to determine final on-air participants.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

• Radio Bahrain and its presenters reserve the right to determine which entrants are brought to air
• All decisions regarding gameplay, scoring, and outcomes are final
• The competition is designed as a continuous elimination format and may not guarantee equal appearance opportunities for all entrants
• Radio Bahrain reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the promotion if required due to operational or third-party requirements
• Prize allocation, format, and mechanics may be adjusted at the station’s discretion in line with broadcast requirements
• Note, the competition will not air during public holidays falling on Tuesday 16th June, Wednesday 24th June, and Thursday 25th June
• In the event of any scheduled public holiday interruption, the current player in the lead will automatically be retained as Champion and will be brought back on air following the public holidays to resume their defence of the title
• The winner’s name, ins-studio video of the winning/announcement moment, including photos/videos receiving the prize will be used on all Radio Bahrain active social media platforms.
• All other mechanics of the promotion will continue as stated upon return to broadcast.

Radio Bahrain Company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time if required, including but not limited to operational requirements or changes to the promotion structure.
