"Spread my wings like a parachute/ I'm the albatross/ I swept in at the rescue," Swift sings on The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology track.
Taylor Swift showcased her new song "The Albatross" from her "Tortured Poets Department" anthology for the first time live during her concert at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium. During the acoustic section of her Eras Tour show, Swift often introduces surprise songs, and this time she added "The Albatross" to her repertoire.
She also performed a mashup of "The Albatross" with "Dancing With Our Hands Tied" from her "Rep" album, seamlessly blending the moving bridges of both songs. Additionally, Swift played "This Love" from her 1989 album, integrating elements of "Ours" from "Speak Now."
The concert highlights her typical approach to engaging her audience with both fresh performances and nostalgic elements, continuously adding variety to her setlists. Swift has now performed most of the songs from the 31-track "Tortured Poets" album live. However, tracks like "So Long, London," "Florida!!!" featuring Florence + The Machine, and a few others are yet to be debuted on stage.
