"Your dreams, make them real," the fragrance's tagline reads.
Rihanna, at 36, has been revealed as the new face of Dior's J’Adore Fragrance, succeeding Charlize Theron. The announcement was made on Sunday (Sept. 1) with a stunning short film directed by Steven Klein, where Rihanna embodies the essence of J’Adore’s powerful and free-spirited femininity. The film, set to her 2016 track “Love on the Brain,” features Rihanna in a sparkling gold gown at the Palace of Versailles, concluding with her walking on water in heels, declaring, “Your dreams, make them real.”
This collaboration marks another milestone in Rihanna’s longstanding relationship with Dior, where she became the brand’s first Black ambassador in 2015. LVMH, Dior's parent company, described J’Adore as a fragrance for strong, independent women, aligning perfectly with Rihanna’s personal journey. Rihanna expressed her deep connection to the scent, highlighting its significance to women globally and her honor in contributing to its legacy through her unique creativity and femininity.
Dior’s signature women’s fragrance blends floral and fruity notes, featuring ylang-ylang, Turkish Damascus rose, jasmine grandiflorum, and Indian jasmine sambac.
