Lana Del Rey Sings ‘Unchained Melody’ With Paul Cauthen in Surprise Stagecoach Duet

The pair closed Cauthen's set with their duet at the California country music fest's opening night.

California got a little bit more of Lana Del Rey this weekend, with her making an unannounced appearance at Stagecoach following two weekends of headlining Coachella. Paul Cauthen welcomed the Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd songstress to the stage for a stirring rendition of “Unchained Melody” on Friday (April 27).

Del Rey and Cauthen sang the classic that became a hit recording for the Righteous Brothers in 1965 — and was also famously performed by Elvis Presley in 1977, just two months before his death — during Cauthen’s set at the first night of the Indio, California, festival.
